A former member of the History Club, Carol Reynolds Onderdonk, died in Exton on December 11, 2002, one day short of her 76th birthday.

She graduated from Barnard College, and was a teacher of English at West Nottingham Academy in Colora, Maryland and at Great Valley High School in Malvern, where she headed the English department.

After retiring from teaching, she served as an office volunteer at the Church of the Good Samaritan in Paoli from 1988 to 1994. She volunteered at the Tolson School in Tucson, Arizona, from 1995 to 1999.

In 1993, Carol prepared an article for the History Club Quarterly about Henry Antes, one of her late husband's ancestors, who came to Pennsylvania about 1720 and settled in nearby Montgomery county.

She is survived by her sister, Marilen Geier of Exton; her brother, Robert Reynolds of Tucson; four sons, Reynolds Lent Onderdonk of Bloomfield, CT, Adriaan Latrobe Onderdonk of West Chester, Richardson Dixon Onderdonk of Kingston, NY, and Julian Holmes Onderdonk of Glenmoore; and six grandsons. She was buried at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lappans, Maryland.
