New Additions to the Archives by Michael Morrison and Cheryl Leibold Michael Morrison and Cheryl Leibold presented several exciting additions to the Society’s archives and special collections. Michael showed examples from the gift of over a dozen vintage photographs of the Daniel S. Newhall home, built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in the late nineteenth century. The beautiful home still stands, adjacent to the Strafford SEPTA station, and is now the home of the Goddard School. Cheryl presented highlights of the gift of George Francis Moran, who gave the Society a box of his Tredyffrin-Easttown High School memorabilia including photographs, sports programs, and reminiscences of people he knew there in the late 1920s. There were a few other surprises, as well. |
