Rediscovering Greentree and other Early 20th Century Tidbits

by Bart Van Valkenburgh

Following a brief Society business meeting to conduct elections, present the 2018 financial report, and present the S. Paul Teamer award to Heidi Sproat and Jim Brazel, we had a compelling new presentation from Society memberand newly-elected VP Bart Van Valkenburgh. Bart selected a number of rarely seen photographs from the TEHS Image Collection archive, and after thorough study, and with the help of several collaborators, discovered a long-gone PRR passenger station along the Lincoln Highway, in the community of Greentree. Bart also examined several other archive photos at high resolution, and will share the hidden information he found in those photos. Bart will also present other interesting tidbits and images collected from his online searches related to Upper Main Line towns and villages.

This presentation was held at the Easttown Library & Information Center in Berwyn, PA on Sunday 20 January 2019, starting at 2 pm.
