was CANCELED because Tredyffrin Library was closed
due to adverse winter weather conditions.

The Annual Meeting was postponed to February
and Bart's presentation will be rescheduled to a future date to be deteremined.

Annual Meeting Notice

NOTE: Before the featured presentation, we will hold the Society's Annual Meeting to briefly conduct some necessary official business, mainly the election of officers & board members and presentation of the annual report, followed by concise updates on the Society's status and ongoing activities.

Malvern and Northern Willistown 1830–1970

Our January meeting was to feature a presentation by Bart Van Valkenburgh, a long-time Society member and chair of the Willistown Township Historical Commission.

This lecture explores the rich history of a one-quarter-mile stretch along King Road just east of the Malvern Borough line. The program was originally created for presentation to the Malvern Historic Commission and the residents of Malvern Borough to share the rich history of the area.

Bart Van Valkenburgh is a former Vice President and Program Chair of the Tredyffrin Easttown Historical Society, chairman of the Willistown Township Historical Commission, a member of the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund board of directors, a member of the Paoli Memorial Association, and a board member of the Bartram Bridge Joint Preservation Commission. He is an active historian and has prepared and presented numerous informative and entertaining programs for a variety of organizations.
